CWCI Australia Cape York and Cairns surrounds National Safari 2024
On Saturday 27th July, the Cape York National Safari starts with Cross Cultural Awareness Training. This is a new Initiative in its scope and format. We will seek feedback from the participants. CWCI is aware that many Churches and Organisations could be approached to assist in this type of Training. This is a start.
This Safari has taken many “turns in the road” or ‘zephyrs on high’, to get to where it is in its final itinerary. The original itinerary included a two day Convention on Horn Island, but this had to be put on hold, due to another sudden commitment for the Church there. The team will be welcome there another year.
Collaborating with Missionary Aviation Fellowship (MAF) has been a joy to me having previously been in this Mission with my husband for 10 years. Thank you to MAF for agreeing to assist the CWCI team.
Flying out from Mareeba, and looping back, will see the team in Normanton, Kowanyama, Weipa, Napranum, Injinoo and Coen. On return to Mareeba the team will then take meetings in Aboriginal Churches in Cairns and Yarrabah. Mossman KYB groups will also host a meeting in the second week. This Safari builds on previous Safaris, both National and Regional in this area. I thank the Tropical Board for their assistance over the last months.
Mary Foster (Speaker), Isabel (Leader), Colleen (co-Leader) and our Pilot value your prayers. I have also spoken to some inspiring Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal sisters in Christ in the past months of planning. Their willing help and work on the ground is much appreciated. I rejoice that we are one in Christ, to be built up together in our most wonderful faith.
Our Father God has both opened and shut doors at this time in this Region. We trust God to reveal His love and plan to seeking hearts, as women through Cape York and Cairns gather ‘growing women in Christ through sharing the Bible’.

We look forward to the meeting in Mossman! God bless you in your ministry!
Bless you all as you share in remote areas to women with hungry hearts for God’s Word and encouragement to them all in their walk with Jesus. Praying with you each day and sending my love to these communities. Precious memories from four Safaris in this region
