KYBC: connecting one one one
Have you noticed recently there have been some changes about the way we talk about KYBC?
KYBC: Know Your Bible connecting one on one (previously referred to as KYB by Correspondence) provides women who are unable to join in a KYB group due to physical or geographical limitations, an opportunity to study with an individual mentor. These studies can be completed via mail, email or online video platform.
There are many reasons women choose to do KYBC. Our current students include:
- A mother who works fulltime in a service industry with teenage children and can’t get to a group.
- A retiree who is sailing around Australia with her husband in a catamaran – she does her studies by email.
- A mother of primary aged children undertaking a big load of university studies.
- A busy woman working full time in a responsible position and is often on short transfer to country areas.
- A woman working towards leading a group in her area to give more women the opportunity to be a part of KYB, as there isn’t a group near her.
- A woman who needs to do something that is mobile and flexible, as she does some travelling.
- A woman has moved to a new area where there is no KYB group and is “desperate” for some regular study.
- A woman whose friend suggested she join.
- A loving wife caring for the health challenges of a spouse and can’t go out for an extended time.
- A woman whose grandmother attended KYB studies for many years, so it was her first thought when she began looking for a Bible study to be part of.
Perhaps after reading these reasons, you can identify with one or more of these women. A current student, Adele, has shared about her experience of doing KYBC …
I had heard of KYBC and thought it was a wonderful idea to study the Bible in depth. I have been doing KYBC for close to a year now and it has helped me to discipline myself to read my Bible and learn more about the Lord. I chose KYBC as I wanted to do more Bible study in my spare time at home and wanted to be more consistent and disciplined in my approach. My mentor is very engaging, supportive and above all, wise. I have just completed Ephesians and have learnt a lot about the blessings we have in Christ, submission to Christ and what a Godly lifestyle looks like. The study was easy to follow and had such useful notes at the end of each unit, it has really strengthened and encouraged me in Godly living. Doing my KYBC study each week is the highlight of the week.

Thank you 🙏
Thanks Tracey, so wonderful to hear this encouragement of our KYB ministry within CWCI.
A great promotion for KYBC. I pray that it will bear fruit for students and mentors.
