Women sharing God’s word (KYB) No.2

The latest CWCI Australia “Women Sharing God’s Word” video highlights Naomi’s reflections as a participant in a KYB (Know Your Bible) study group.

KYB groups like the one Naomi attends are held with flexibility in mind, offering a range of meeting times—morning, afternoon, or evening—to accommodate the varied schedules of women. KYB groups meet in different formats, including in-person or online, ensuring that any woman can join in a way that suits her circumstances. At each meeting, an appointed KYB leader helps the women engage in focused discussions from the Bible, consider scripture passages, and have opportunities for prayer and mutual support, creating a meaningful and nurturing experience.

KYB studies are non-denominational. Four new studies are available each year. KYB groups meet either weekly or fortnightly, in various venues such as cafés, homes, churches, and community spaces across Australia. This accessibility enables women from all walks of life to participate regardless of their location or commitments. For example, Naomi attends an evening group which has allowed her to engage in Bible study, despite her work commitments.

Open to women of any age or background, KYB groups foster a supportive and encouraging environment so everyone can study the Bible. They provide a safe place where women from different backgrounds can share their unique perspectives, enrich group discussions, and build lasting friendships. A KYB group is a simple way to bring friends and neighbours together for Bible study.
