CWCI Australia National Safari to the Western Australia Wheatbelt and Goldfields

The CWCI Australia Southern Wheatbelt and Goldfields National Safari in the south of Western Australia began in 2020 following difficulties in the COVID-19 years getting into other areas. Margaret Crane, the previous National Safari Director, imagined and inaugurated this new Safari route with the Lord guiding her. It is a joy to build onto this route by working with Christine Butler, as she was the Leader in 2022.

Heather Jackson will be the Speaker. Heather is known to the wider CWCI Community, Nationally and Internationally having served 2 terms as President of the National Management Board between 2017- 2022.

Heather is coming from Victoria, and she brings a wealth of CWCI knowledge and inspiration to Safari. She is a much loved CWCI Speaker and Bible teacher.

Chris Butler is the KYB Book distributor for all of Country Western Australia.  Her knowledge of the people in the CWCI and KYB communities in Southwest W.A. is broad. It testifies to her many years committed to this ministry.

By God’s good grace, Chris as Leader and Heather as Speaker said ‘yes’ to the faith journey that Safari’ is. There are always challenges and privileges mingled in together.

They will travel by road, starting at Kendenup, and drive north through Williams and Brookton to Merredin (the wheatbelt). They then travel east to Coolgardie and Kalgoorlie (the goldfields), after which they will do a sharp 90-degree turn, and head south to Esperance. Jerramungup, (via Ravensthorpe), is the next stop, and then on to Denmark in the south.

On their way to Denmark, they will pass the turn -off to the southernmost tip of WA- Torbay Head, about 40km from Denmark.  The recent Cape York Safari team was taken to the tip of Cape York – known as the northernmost point of the Australian mainland. CWCI Safaris do reach far and wide into the corners and edges of this ‘Great Southland’! Heather has been even further north recently! (There’s a story to ask her about when you see her!)

Enjoy our visit into Southern WA everyone who comes along to a meeting (or two) and be blessed as you bless us with your welcome!
