Introducing the KYB study: Learn from the Teacher:  The Gospel of Luke Part 2 (9:28-16:31)

CWCI Australia recently released the Know Your Bible (KYB) study for Term 2, 2025. KYB groups around Australia will begin the new study Learn from the Teacher: The Gospel of Luke Part 2 (Chapters 9:28 to 16:31) in the coming weeks. The series of nine studies is the second part of this series.

This study was written by Beth Worley. Beth has been involved in KYB for many years, more recently as an editor and writer. Beth is part of the CWCI international staff and the KYB Editing Officer. She also wrote part one in this series.

Perhaps you are familiar with the gospels or parts of them. You may wonder what the point of is studying a part of the Bible that you know so well. In her introduction of this study Beth answers that question and more. She explains that Luke was a storyteller. To get his message across and to engage his listeners Luke writes an historical account as a story. This is because stories are “worth reading, re-reading and thinking about”. The main character of Luke’s story is Jesus—how he lived out his life and how he wants us to live

Maybe you are new to KYB studies. To help you gain a greater understanding of this study Beth’s introduction is available on the CWCI Australia website. It can be downloaded for use by groups or individuals in audio and print version at Current study

KYB groups and CWCI Committees throughout Australia also arrange various in person and online Introductions to each KYB study. At these events speakers will “introduce” the study in a similar way to Beth. Women everywhere are welcome to attend any of these events. Being a member of a KYB group is not necessary.  To find out if there is an in person or online KYB Introduction suitable to for you to attend, click Events – CWCI Australia for dates, locations and contact details.
