A message from our President
This has been another exciting and challenging year for CWCI Australia! Women are continuing to have the opportunity to grow in Christ through sharing the Bible: in KYB groups, at events and on safaris.
The National Enrichment program has provided wonderful opportunities for the National Management Board (NMB) and regional board members to connect and build relationships that encourage and support each other. There have been online events that give the opportunity to bring us all together as teams, as well as NMB members meeting with their regional board counterparts. For example, as NMB President, I meet with the Regional Board Chairs. The opportunity to meet online via Zoom is positive and beneficial. Please continue to pray for new members for regional boards, as a number are working with some positions unfilled.
This year NMB has reviewed and updated our Strategic Plan for 2023-2025. This enables us to consider our objectives, direction, and anticipated outcomes. It is a plan that keeps us on track and accountable, but always under the Lord’s direction and with our prayerful participation. CWCI Australia is his ministry, and we have the privilege of partnering with him in his plan.
In September I had the opportunity to meet face-to-face in Sydney with the International Board – the first time this has happened since Covid! Two members travelled from the UK, and the NZ President joined us online (sadly she had Covid at the time). Other members are from Australia. It was wonderful to meet with this team to discuss international issues, and fellowship together and get to know each other. We will continue to meet online six times per year from now onwards.
At this time, I remember God’s Word in Hebrews 12:1-2, reminding us to run the race set before us with our eyes fixed on Jesus; and in Philippians 4:13 that ‘I can do everything through him who gives me strength’. Be encouraged as you continue to serve our Lord faithfully in your roles and relationships with others.
As Christmas approaches, we rejoice in the promise of Isaiah 9:6 that the government is on the shoulders of the Lord, and he establishes his kingdom and reign. To him be all the glory. May we each be blessed as we celebrate the gift of Jesus.
Nola Hill
